The Côte d’Azur Food Guide

The Côte d’Azur Food Guide

Whether you’re looking for a Cap Ferrat villa rental or another property on the French Riviera, we’re sure you’re curious about the meals. Continue reading to learn everything you need to know about breakfast, lunch, and supper on the Cote d’Azur.

Morning

Breakfast can start as early as 6 a.m. on the Riviera, with some pastry shops and coffee shops beginning at that hour. Pastries such as croissants, pain au chocolat, apple pies, and others are offered. If you’re looking for something sweet, we recommend the almond-flavored viennoiseries. You will not be disappointed!

If you prefer a more substantial lunch, you may always go to one of the Riviera’s hotel brunches. The Marylebone Riviera is one of our faves, where you can have avocado toast or chia pudding while gazing out at the sea.

Afternoon

Some lunch restaurants are open all day, which is rare for the Riviera, where life flows more slowly. One of the restaurants recognized for its flexible hours is African Queen in Beaulieu-sur-Mer. This restaurant specializes on traditional foods such as niçoise salad, fish soup, and other fish and meat dishes.

Most restaurants, on the other hand, are open for lunch from 12:00 to 14:00 and provide whatever cuisine you like. This neighborhood’s restaurants feature Italian, French, Chinese, Japanese, and Indian food. Because the border is only 30 minutes away, we propose visiting your favorite Italian restaurant; the experience can only be fantastic!

Evening

Dinner alternatives differ widely, not just in terms of cuisine but also in terms of ambience. There are both black tie venues and a tranquil beach café. Don’t be deceived by the Riviera’s closeness to Monaco; this little country has a lot to offer travelers. From classic Parisian cafés to large luxury gourmet restaurants, everything is offered here.

We recommend travelling to Italy if you plan on hiring a car; Dolceaqua and San Remo are both well-known for their superb eateries.
